About European Cooking Europe has a big diversity of meals. Every country has its traditional cuisine and it is very different from the others. In the Mediterranean area, as a gourmet you have to taste the French cuisine. It is considered to be one of the world's most refined and elegant styles of cooking. Italian cuisine is based in pasta. The spanish paella is also very famous and also the greek mousaka. In the North meals are fatter based due to low temperatures. Pork and beef are the main meals. German sausages are very appreciated, specially white sausages with sweet mustard (weisswurst mit süsse Senf) Scandinavian cuisine are more fish based due to they have long coast and a long fishing tradition. |
